The Teacher Responds to Individual Student Needs

Teacher Inez is setting up her classroom for her Oz-e-science class. She places students in pair-share groups according to their performance levels along with taking into consideration students who have hearing issues along with the interpersonal interactions of the students. For the students who have a hearing issue she needs to think about what ear they have the stronger hearing in to face her as she delivers instruction.

She readjusts her seating chart several times to make sure the placement is just right. Inez also will make changes on the fly as needed if a student needs to change seats. She places her lower performing students and those with hearing issues front and centre with their pair-share partner. This allows her students to have learning success during the lesson.
