Students are Confident, Engaged Learners and Have Appropriate Behaviour
Teacher Allie has taught a reading lesson to her students. She has firmed them on every exercise before assigning the independent work. Allie feels comfortable that they can complete the work to mastery. As she monitors during their independent work time, she sees that there are few errors. She praises students for their careful work attending to the details of the questions and their answers. Many students who have had struggles in previous lessons are grinning. Once the work has been corrected, all students have passed their independent work to mastery. Students gain self-confidence in their learning as they are improving on their independent work.
