Not Correcting Independent Work
Teacher Kathleen has assigned independent work for all her lessons for the last two weeks. She has not checked the independent work as she did not find the time to do it. Kathleen continues teaching and has come to a mastery test. Since Kathleen did not check independent work, she cannot be sure students are at mastery as she has just taught the lessons firming where needed. By not checking independent work she has not been able to make any teaching decisions to be able to reteach or firm students who are not at mastery before giving the mastery test.
