Auditory signal
Use an auditory signal when students are focused on their own books or worksheets.
For example:
Touch part one.
√You’re going to say the sound for the underlined part and then the word.

Focus

Teacher pauses about two seconds.
Cue
What sound?
Interval
Teacher pauses for one second.
Signal
Teacher gives and audible signal. The signal is any kind of ‘ap’, a snap, a clap, or a tap.
