Students Unable to Complete Independent Work
When teachers do not correct errors while teaching the group, students may not master the lesson content. This leads to gaps in their learning making it difficult for students to complete independent work.
The Problem is Compounded
When students do not have mastery of the lesson content or the opportunity to practise the skills correctly during the group exercises, they lack the mastery and confidence needed to complete independent work. This often leads to disengagement, behaviour issues and students falling further behind in their work.
