Students Unable to Make Standard Growth
When a teacher does not teach content in the lesson to mastery, the students are not firm on all parts of the lesson. Students cannot complete the independent work to criterion or pass the mastery tests on the first try. The teacher must reteach and retest. They get farther behind in lesson progress as they are not effectively teaching to mastery the first time the lesson is delivered.

Students are not provided enough opportunities to master skills. Students are not able to make standard growth or catch up as needed. Students do not meet expected lesson progress standards. Students get further behind.
