Self Confidence in Learning Abilities is not Built
While teaching language to his students, teacher, Tom, finds his students are struggling with a couple of exercises about nouns and verbs. He repeats each exercise quickly before moving on. He is focusing on completing a lesson a day. He continues to see his students struggling with nouns and verbs but needs to get through a lesson a day. When he gives the mastery test, he tells each student they did not pass. His students are not gaining self-confidence in their writing abilities because Tom is not teaching them to mastery. He is just presenting the material a few times to show lesson progress not mastery.
