The Practice of Assessing School Context
School leaders plan with the school and community what improvements to undertake, what programs to deliver and the outcomes students will achieve based on achievement standards, and what targets to set for each class.
What It Achieves
By assessing school context, team members collaborate with parents to understand students’ home life and how it affects attendance and student learning. The leadership team then uses the information to develop the School Improvement Plan for the school year.

The School Improvement Plan sets out what programs will be delivered in response to the identified needs of the students, what progress towards achievement standards is expected of each class, what improvement actions the team will undertake and completion timelines.
