What Happens When Assess School Context is Not Delivered with Fidelity

When team members do not assess school context with fidelity then they do not have discussions with the school and community about students’ home life, current and future attendance and student learning. They also do not plan to determine what improvements to undertake, what programs to deliver and the outcomes students will achieve.  

The Problem is Compounded 

• Team members and the community are not meeting to build a shared understanding of the school context and current environment. 
• The school team members do not understand students’ home life. 
• The school team members do not know how student home life impacts on attendance, school readiness and wellbeing.
• A positive high-expectations learning culture is not being reinforced. 
• Team members do not know what community members aspire to for their children in regards to their education.
