RMSE-LA 5 marking papers

In RMSE-LA 5 students write a large amount of material, it is difficult to mark papers every day.

The teacher can base the paper marking system on the number of uncorrected errors in the work students hand in and on marking of every third to fifth lesson.

A good procedure is to check some parts each day:

  • The teacher checks independent work for every lesson.
  • The teacher checks the parts of the class work that require the students to compose sentences.
  • The teacher checks whether students have completed all parts of the lesson.
  • The teacher requires students to redo any parts that are unacceptable.
  • The teacher carefully marks every third to fifth lesson but doesn’t tell students which lesson they are marking.
