Unable to Make Informed Teaching Decisions
Teacher Tenya is teaching mathematics to her Year 4 students. She does not administer Cumulative Test 1 when required between lesson seventy and seventy-five. Students are not able to demonstrate their mastery over the previous lessons because they are not tested. Tenya does not have specific information about the critical skills and concepts taught in the first seventy lessons. She is not able to pinpoint which students need remedies, reteaching or reinforcement of skills or concepts. Tenya is just moving through the program not verifying mastery from the required assessments.
