The Role of the Principal

In a positive high-expectations school, the principal is the leader of the Behaviour Management Model.

The principal develops the ‘Whole-school Behaviour Management Policy’ with input from the school team and the community. They implement the behaviour management plan and provide feedback to coaches and teaches on its delivery.

The principal ensures the school team receives professional development and coaching in behaviour.

They communicate with parents and the community and incorporate the behaviour expectations values into conversations with all stakeholders.
