What Happens When Technique is Not

Delivered with Fidelity

When lessons are consistently not completed in standard time, students do not make standard progress and can potentially fall behind.
The teacher cannot be confident that students are at mastery and cannot meet standard lesson progress rate.

What happens

The problem is compounded

When the teacher does not complete the lesson in standard time, students miss out on timely practise during independent work. They are not given the opportunity to demonstrate their understanding or ability to apply the knowledge and skills to new contexts. Students do not get enought repetition and information is not reinforced and retained. As a result, students are not able to master the content, they lose confidence in their learning ability and can potentially fall further behind.
