Instructional Design of Oz-e-maths

The Oz-e-maths program uses a Direct Instruction pedagogy and instructional design approach. Students are taught sequenced, structured lessons and are required to master each skill before advancing.

Oz-e-maths lessons have the same look and feel as the Connecting Math Concepts program so that teachers and students move seamlessly and efficiently between the two.

Only ten percent of each lesson’s content is new. This allows students multiple opportunities to learn content and practise transitioning information from working memory to long-term memory. Each lesson includes independent practice of previously learned skills.
