Connecting Math Concepts A Overview

CMC A is the first part of a six-level Direct Instruction maths program. It is appropriate for students who meet the placement criteria.

Students learn to make connections between related topics in mathematics and between procedures and knowledge. CMC introduces concepts systematically, then weaves them together throughout the program. Once a concept is introduced, it is practised across the program. Teachers follow the program sequentially to allow students to build their skills and knowledge.
