Oz-e-Math Instruction Design

The Oz-e-Maths program uses a Direct Instruction pedagogy and an Instructional Design approach. Students undergo sequenced, structured lessons and must master each skill before progressing.

Oz-e-Maths lessons have the same look and feel as the Connecting Math Concepts program, enabling teachers and students to transition seamlessly and efficiently between the two.

Only ten percent of the content in each lesson is new. This provides students with multiple opportunities to learn and practise the content and facilitates the transition of information from working memory to long-term memory. Each lesson also includes independent practice of previously learned skills.
