Instructional design
The Oz-e-maths program uses a Direct Instruction pedagogy and instructional design approach. Students are taught sequenced, structured lessons and are required to master each skill before advancing.
Oz-e-maths lessons have the same look and feel of the Connecting Math Concepts program so that teachers and students move seamlessly and efficiently between the two.

Only ten per cent of content in each lesson is new. This allows students multiple opportunities to learn content and practise transitioning information for working memory to long-term memory. Each lesson includes independent practice of previously learned skills.
