Comprehension A lessons

Comprehension lessons are scheduled for every school day. Students are divided into homogeneous groups based on placement test results.

The goal is to teach one lesson each period, with students reaching mastery. In the beginning, the teacher may need to repeat parts of a lesson or entire lessons if students are not firm on content.

Comprehension A lessons typically contain twelve exercises and take thirty-five to forty-five minutes. The teacher awards points for every section of each exercise. Students record and total their points for each lesson in their workbooks.

Each lesson is divided into three main parts:

1. Thinking operations exercises: the first seven to fourteen exercises where the teacher asks questions and students respond orally.

2. Workbook exercises: three to five exercises where students respond orally and write responses in their workbooks.

3. Information exercises: last few exercises, with oral questions and answers.
