Placement test guidelines

Ensure that students cannot see or hear another student being tested.
Give students the placement test that corresponds to their school level.
If the student passes the school level test, give the test for the next highest level of the DI program. Continue testing up a level, until students do not pass the test.
If the student does not pass the school level placement test, give the test for the next lowest level of the program. Continue testing down a level until the student passes the test.
Group students into homogeneous groups based on placement test results. Group size varies with the program being taught. Consult with your principal or instruction coach.
