Who it is for?

Comprehension A

Comprehension A is the first part of a four-level Direct Instruction comprehension intervention program. It contains 65 lessons to be taught daily.

It is for any student, from the second half of Year 3 through to adulthood who has poor comprehension skills and does not understand the concepts taught in the classroom.

Comprehension B1

Comprehension B1 is the second part of the program. It contains 60 lessons.

Comprehension B1 is appropriate for most students in Year 4 through adult who have poor comprehension skills, lack common basic information and are deficient in thinking operations.

Both programs are appropriate for students who speak and understand English and whose placement test scores indicate they belong in the program.
