Comprehension B2 lessons

Comprehension lessons are scheduled for every school day. Students are divided into homogeneous groups based on placement test results.

The goal is to teach one lesson each period with students at mastery. In the beginning, the teacher may need to repeat parts of a lesson, or the entire lesson, if students are not firm on content.

Comprehension B2 lessons teach reasoning, information, vocabulary, sentence analysis, basic comprehension and writing. Lessons take about forty-five to fifty-five minutes to complete.

Lessons are divided into group work and workbook exercises. The teacher awards points for each part of the lesson. Students record and total their points for each lesson on their point summary charts located on the inside front cover of their workbooks.

Each lesson is divided into two parts:

  • Group exercises: teacher asks questions and students respond orally.
  • Workbook exercises: some are presented by the teacher and some are completed independently by the students.
