Hand drop signal

Say the days of the week starting Sunday.

Use a hand drop signal when students are focused on the teacher. For example:

Focus 
The teacher has hand up in the ‘stop’ position when talking.

Think time 
Say the days of the week starting with Sunday.

Cue
Get ready.

Interval
Teacher pauses one second.

Signal
Teacher crisply drops hand. Students respond ‘Sunday, Monday’ etc. while hand is down.
