Script features

The presentation books use several typefaces and other scripting conventions. The script says what the teacher says, what the teacher does, and what the students say.

• * What the teacher says appears in blue type.
• (Instructions for the teacher to follow appear in black type and are enclosed in round brackets.)
• Student responses appear in black italic type.
• NEW next to a heading in the lesson presentation indicates the introduction of a new format.
• Notes are in boxes.
• Corrections and individual turns/tests are in rounded boxes.
