The process is:

  • Students look at the words in their Student Workbook.
  • The teacher circulates among students to check that they are tracking each word.
  • The teacher uses an auditory signal for group response.
  • The teacher introduces each sound-combination in isolation.
  • Students read each word and then spell it.
