Understanding the School Context

Once a year the instruction coach collaborates with the principal when they:

• meet with the leadership team, teaching team and community to build a shared understanding of the school context and current environment
• help build a shared understanding of students’ home life and impacts on students’ attendance, school readiness and wellbeing
• reinforce the need for a positive high-expectations learning culture
• capture the aspirations that the community have for their children’s education.
