Scenario: Using the School Improvement Plan

Scenario: Using the School Improvement PlanĀ

Step 1:

Principal, Bob, identifies a discrepancy in the student mastery standards for the selected curriculum program. The assessment results show that students are not achieving the expected level of mastery, affecting overall progress.

Step 2:

To address the issue, Bob collaborates with the teaching team and instruction coaches. Together, they design targeted professional learning courses to enhance the teachers’ capabilities in delivering the curriculum effectively. Bob ensures that professional learning aligns with internationally recognised best practices.

Step 4:

Recognising the success, Bob emphasises the importance of ongoing professional development and continuous monitoring. He commits to embedding the effective practices within the school culture and encourages teachers to share insights for further improvement.

Step 3:

Over the next term, Bob has the instructional coaches monitor progress using student assessment data and observes classroom delivery. The team’s efforts result in an improvement in student mastery and a more efficient delivery of the curriculum, meeting the set standards.
