Understanding the School Context

Once a year the principal:   

• meets with the leadership team, teaching team and community to build a shared understanding of the school context and current environment 
• helps build a shared understanding of students’ home life and impacts on students’ attendance, school readiness and wellbeing 
• reinforces the need for a positive high-expectations learning culture 
• captures the aspirations that the community have for their children’s education.
