Using Evaluation to Set Up Phase 2 Priorities
Evaluations such as the Tier 1 Tiered Fidelity Inventory and the PBIS Tier 1 School-wide Checklist help the coach to determine priorities to add to the Phase 2 rollout calendar. These priorities will be routine-oriented, or occur at regular intervals to ensure they are embedded.

1. If the school scored low last year on using data in team meetings, the coach works with the principal to ensure to plan for routine data review during weekly meetings, such as adding a ‘Big 5 Data’ slide to the start of the weekly meeting presentations.

2. If the school scored low last year on development and delivery of lessons to explicitly teach and review behaviour expectations each term, the coach supports the principal to ensure that Week 1 of each term is dedicated to the teaching and reteaching of routines and rules across the school.

3. If the school scored low on regularly-schedule Behaviour Management Team meetings, the coach works with the principal to ensure that biweekly meetings are scheduled for the full year.
Please note: The Behaviour Management Model includes features for supporting students with universal (Tier 1), targeted (Tier 2), and intensive (Tier 3) behaviour needs. However, the focus on embedding in Year 2 of school-wide implementation is on Tier 1 or universal components. Initial delivery of Tiers 2 and 3 components during Phase 2 will be discussed in a later lesson in this model.
