Who it’s for and why it works

Language of Learning and instruction helps students communicate clearly.
When asked, ‘Where do you eat your lunch at school?’ students with less than adequate language skills may answer, ‘Spaghetti!’

Students who do not have a solid language foundation may have trouble with:

  • Understanding the meaning of words teachers use to explain things.
  • Repeating sentences.
  • Classifying or sorting objects.
  • Describing how things are the same or different.
  • Following directions.
