Classroom Data and High-expectations

Principals lead effective teaching in high-expectation schools, in order for all students to make rapid progress and achieve their learning goals. The principal understands the capability and experience on the teaching team as they regularly review school data, oversee professional learning and are regularly in the classrooms observing, providing feedback or demonstrations.

Principal and instructional leaders implement solutions and a data-based coaching plan if gaps are observed in teaching practice or techniques.

Feedback is provided with 24 hours of the lesson observation. It is based on data and/or classroom practice, linked to students’ performance.

The school has a leadership observation schedule indicating when they are in each classroom.
