Positive high-expectations affect learning

and behaviour

The principal understands that effective teaching applies to behaviour, character traits and pro-social skills, as well as literacy and numeracy.

They use both the 8 Cycles of School Practice and the PBIS model to develop goals for students to increase learning and positive behaviour.

When school leaders share positive high-expectations of student goals in behaviour and learning, all students can achieve their educational outcomes and every child is supported in reaching their full potential.

When working with the teaching team, principals can shift back and forth between the two sets of data, consistently driving both mastery and positive behaviour forward.
