Scenario: Utilise a Continuum of Corrective Responses and Logical Consequences

Step 2: Later during the lesson, Oliver tries to talk with his friend again, this time turning away from Elizabeth and ignoring her immediate response. Elizabeth considers the consequences from the Logical Consequences Chart and makes the decision to move Oliver to another seat for the rest of the lesson.

Step 4: After class, Elizabeth records in Oliver’s file what occurred, noticing that he had not had any other inappropriate behaviour incidences lately. She determines additional follow-up is unnecessary at this time.

Step 3: Oliver and his friend are able to focus on the learning for the remainder of the learning time. Afterwards, Elizabeth has a short conversation with Oliver, reminding him of the expectations for behaviour and giving him a chance to apologize.
