The School Team Does Not Build a Culture of Collaboration Around Continuous Improvement
The school team does not build a culture of collaboration around continuous improvement.
The Problem is Compounded
The school team:
- does not collaborate with parents and the community on shared improvement goals which would yield improvements for students
- works in isolation rather than observing best practice and having professional conversations to reinforce the practice
- does not partner experienced team members with less experienced team members to model effective teaching techniques and leadership practices
- works in isolation to improve their practice and is only concerned with their work and role in the school
- does not support school leaders in providing frequent constructive and positive feedback to all team members about their successes, which inhibits professional conversations among the team
- does not use data to identify, analyse and evaluate areas for improvement within the school environment and do not involve parents and the community in their analysis of the school culture.
