What Happens When Building Positive Expectations is not Delivered with Fidelity

When the school team does not actively foster community leadership through engaged parents and does not develop positive expectations for the school and community, they will not support the improvement of student and school results.

The Problem is Compounded

  • The principal does not lead the development of the whole-school behaviour management policy with suggestions from the school team and the community.
  • Without a policy that cultivates positive expectations for the school through a mutual commitment to a CC that sets out the community’s aspirations for their children, the school cannot ensure the students get the best possible educational opportunity.
