Empowers Students to Gain Confidence in Their Learning

When teachers teach to mastery effectively, students are able show they have mastered the content during independent work and mastery tests. This builds self-confidence in their learning capabilities.

How It Works

Students are required to perform the exercises confidently and reliably as a group and on individual turns before the independent work is provided.  

When students are taught to mastery during the teaching parts of the lesson, they can complete the independent work without support from the teacher.  

Checked independent work provides students with evidence that they are learning and progressing in the program, which builds self-confidence in their learning capabilities.
