Students Unable to Make Standard Growth
Teacher Sasha is teaching maths to her students. She knows she is supposed to make lesson progress. Her students are making quite a few errors, she decides to only correct a few because it is taking too long to correct every error and some students are acting up. She keeps moving through all the exercises to get to the independent work. Independent work is corrected students do not meet criterion, but Sasha moves onto the next lesson. Students are not taught to mastery though they do make lesson progress which does not support their learning. They are unable to make standard growth at mastery.
