The Teacher and Her Blank Wall

Kristin, the principal, is visiting several teachers’ rooms during instruction. She walks into Stella’s classroom and immediately notices disengagement throughout the class. Students have their heads down, they are talking, and Stella is repeating herself several times. Stella has a dedicated space to show off “Spectacular Work” that the kids have done. The wall lies empty. In fact, Stella’s classroom seems quite bare.
