Behaviour Plan Leads to Improvement in Student Behaviour

Behaviour Plan Leads to Improvement in Student Behaviour

Step 1: Student Kayleigh was given a behaviour plan to help her make responsible decisions. The plan included teaching problem-solving skills and providing choices as strategies. Her teacher, Oliver, enacted the plan in his classroom.

Step 2: Kayleigh finds it challenging to make responsible decisions during self-directed structured times. Under the behaviour plan, Kayleigh’s options are limited. Having fewer options makes it easier for Kayleigh to act responsibly during these times.

Step 4: Kayleigh’s behaviour improvements were directly affected by the behaviour plan. Oliver records her progress and shares it with the Behaviour Management Team.

Step 3: After a few weeks, Kayleigh is able to make better decisions under the plan. She needs fewer reminders and isn’t distracting other students.
