Student Behaviour Improves
When behaviour plans are enacted, students are provided with the support they need to improve their behaviour. When behaviour improves, students can relate better to their peers and have an easier time following rules and routines.
Teacher:
- identifies the student’s behavioural problems
- observes the student and collects data on the behaviours in question to use in collaboration with the school team

- indicates how behaviour impacts the student’s ability to progress socially
- provides student with supports that are tailored to the individual student
- spends less time on reactive behaviour management techniques when interacting with the student
- reduces the occurrence of challenging behaviours.
Student:
- improves social and emotional skills
- feels safe and seen
- learns effective coping strategies
- learns to regulate emotions
- is provided with positive reinforcement for following rules and expectations.
