Share Responsibility for School Improvement

School leaders provide professional learning and coaching, so that teaching team members understand the expectations. Teachers, then, explicitly instruct students on these expectations. They monitor and support student behaviour. Teachers also keep accurate records of student behaviour so that school leaders have the data they need to make informed decisions.

• All members of the school team collectively work towards school improvement goals. 
• Leaders feel confident to frequently provide feedback and acknowledge successes with the school team. 
• The teaching team recognise the importance of providing student behaviour data to the leadership team.  
• All members are open to feedback to enhance their delivery of teaching techniques or embedding of practices.   
• All members reflect on one’s practice and committing to continuous improvement is the norm.
