Scenario: Responsibility for Improvement is Not Shared
- Step 1: Principal Anne leads development of school visions, missions and values. However, the school team does not receive any training or guidance on these expectations.
- Step 2: Instruction Coach Rhys conducts regular observations of the teachers’ classrooms but does not provide feedback related to student behaviour or fidelity to the school values, as they are unclear.
- Step 3: The teachers do not know if they are meeting expectations or not. They do not know what they should work on to improve their practice.
- Step 4: Behaviour is addressed inconsistently, and records are lacking, so school leaders are unable to use data to identify needs.
