Principal Does Not Contribute to Building a Positive High-Expectations Culture
At Riverside Primary, Principal Smith’s leadership fails to foster a high-expectations school culture. Without a clear vision or set values, there’s no framework for values, routines and rules. Principal Smith doesn’t engage in coaching or training, which hinders the development of a positive environment. With low expectations for student engagement and a lack of modelling high standards, staff morale and student outcomes suffer. The principal avoids reflective practice and continuous improvement, neglects to involve parents and teachers in discussions for enhancement, and refrains from analysing data to address issues. Constructive feedback is absent, leaving the school environment stagnant and unresponsive to the needs of students and the community.
