Principals ensure and promote practices that are based on data to continuously improve all students’ behaviour. This increases team, parents’ and students’ commitment to positive high-expectations. Principals also routinely review implementation compliance and fidelity of positive high-expectations practices, validating the effectiveness of positive high-expectations implementation.
The principal:
- ensures teachers record positive and negative behaviour incidents in data system
- ensures all intervention data is recorded in the school system
- completes the weekly Engagement and Organisation Form and regularly shares behaviour data at weekly school team meetings
- ensures the coach provides training and coaching sessions in behaviour data procedures
- regularly collaborates with team and parents to resolve behaviour issues
- shares behaviour data during community meetings
- ensures team complete annual Self-Evaluation Survey and the Implementation Survey in Term 1 and Term 4
- ensures the coach completes the term Implementation Review Form
- oversees the annual review including actioning all recommendations.
