How to Pass Assessments

To demonstrate how to practise passing assessments:

  • the instruction coach first advises a team member that they are ‘mastery ready’ (have mastered a technique or practice) and should undertake an assessment to get certified
  • the team member records an assessment video of themselves teaching a lesson demonstrating the technique or practice and uploads it for assessment by an instruction coach, who is an assessor.

The assessor demonstrates how to practice passing assessments by:

  • observing the video and certifying that the technique and practice were demonstrated to mastery using the Techniques Observation Form and the Practices Observation Form, and advising the team member
  • providing certification within three weeks of the the assessment
  • if not demonstrated, advising the team member of a Practice Module they could undertake and uploading it to their Professional Learning Plan.
