Set Up for Higher Years Large Group DI Program Instruction

In group instruction for higher years, students are seated in rows and columns of chairs and desks facing forward to see the whiteboard and displays. The teacher walks among students to monitor and provide feedback while teaching.

Lower performers who require close monitoring and feedback should be seated closest to where the teacher usually is. Middle performers are seated around low performers. High performers are seated in areas where the teacher may not be able to monitor oral and written responses as frequently.
