How to Share Student Data with Parents

The teacher learns how to share student data with parents. They:

• collate students’ data and examples of their work into their Student Profile
• Talk parents through the Student Profile and highlight achievements and challenges that require the parents’ attention
• discuss what the school is doing to support their child and what parents can do at home to enhance their child’s education outcomes
• follow the Three R’s for having an Honest Conversation from the Having Influencing Conversations with Parents Guide, encourage parents to make commitments, and upload them to the Student Profile.
