Teacher Involves Parent with Problem Solving

Teacher, Joanne, meets with a parent, Josh, who has concerns about his child’s reading comprehension. Joanne suggests Josh observe his child, Jacob, in class during the reading times period. Afterwards they meet and discuss what they observe, and problem solve on how they can support the child. Joanne suggests modelling reading with Jacob at home and to talk about what they have read. Joanne also says she will be doing daily checkouts with their reading program Reading Mastery and will be tracking his data.
