Paul, an experienced teacher, has a wall every year that displays examples of student work. The wall focuses on students who have improved on certain maths concepts. This year he has failed to display any examples of work. He has not modelled the high expectations of student improvement to the students or parents. Because of the lack of expectations, his students are disengaged and unlikely to improve.
