Scenario: Process of How to Support Behaviour Interventions

Step 2: Joshua models and constantly reinforces good behaviour in his classroom every day. He explicitly teaches his students what behaviour is expected and addresses inappropriate behaviour consistently, following the school-wide behaviour plan. He records all major behaviour incidents and works closely with this Behaviour Management Team as needed.

Step 4: As a result, the student does not remain on the Individual Behaviour Plan for long. Instructional time is able to be focused on the lesson instead of on managing behaviour, so students are more likely to reach their academic targets.

Step 3: When one of his students is placed in an Individual Behaviour Plan, Joshua supports the student by providing information to the team, by following through with planned interventions, and providing consistent guidance.
