What Happens When Supporting Behaviour Interventions is Delivered with Fidelity
The classroom teacher is the first point of contact when identifying students in need of more intensive behavioural support. The teacher follows their school’s continuum of consequences for responding to behaviour incidents and works with the school’s Behaviour Management Team to support the design and implementation of Individual Behaviour Plans when needed.
The Behaviour Management Team (BMT) is a group of teachers, behaviour specialists, and school leaders that work towards continuous improvement of behaviour at school. The BMT use behaviour data to improve schoolwide practices around behaviour management, to identify students in need of additional behaviour support, and to develop interventions to help every student succeed.

The BMT develops, monitors, and evaluates behavioural practices.
Universal behaviour practices are provided to all students. These practices are carried out by the teaching team, along with effective teaching, creating a supportive learning environment.
Major behaviour supports are for students with increased behavioural needs and include building Individual Behaviour Plans, which the teachers ensure are carried out accurately, with the support of the BMT.
